How to find out time taken in Linux by processes when starting the computer

To identify which system processes take how much time when booting your Linux system, open a terminal window, at type the following command:

$ sudo systemd-analyze blame <enter>

systemd on Fedora 15 – No more ntsysv

Fedora 15 uses a new system / service called systemd. ntsysv is not available to enable or disable services. You could also use: # system-config-services <enter> system-config-services shows you a GUI from where you can select the services to enable or disable.
