Install Handbrake on Fedora 18

Unfortunately, there is currently no pre-built RPM file for HandBrake for Fedora 64 bit version. If you need HandBrake to do video transcoding and conversion on Fedora, you need to download the source code for HandBrake from http://handbrake.fr and compile the code yourself. You can follow the steps below to do so:

Start up a terminal window and type the commands below:
# su <enter>
# yum install yasm zlib-devel bzip2-devel fribidi-devel dbus-glib-devel libgudev1-devel webkitgtk-devel libnotify-devel gstreamer-devel gstreamer-plugins-base-devel libsamplerate-devel libtheora-devel libass-devel libvorbis-devel <enter>
# yum groupinstall "Development Tools" <enter>

Download the stable source code file from the handbrake web site
Extract to a folder and change directory to that folder
Now type following commands in a terminal window:
$ ./configure <enter>
$ cd build <enter>
$ gmake <enter>
$ su <enter>
# make install <enter>
